The Club’s summer show in August every year is a real showcase – for flowers, plants, vegetables, fruits, all sorts of produce (from apricot vodkas to victoria sponges) and local crafts. There’s a summary schedule here.
This year the show is on Wednesday, 9 August, and the doors open at 2 p.m. Admission is just £1; there’s a plant and produce stall and a raffle with some great prizes, and there are refreshments available too.
In the meanwhile, there’s time to practise flower arranging, even on the smallest scale:
and to get those preserves exactly right.
Of course, they’ll need testing!
